Will Mazda ever make a hydrogen-powered vehicle?

The next few years are almost guaranteed to contain a flurry of advancements in automotive technology that hasn’t been seen since for a few generations. Most automakers, including Mazda, are always on the lookout for ways to make vehicles cleaner and more fuel-efficient. As it happens, a recent article posted on the Road and Track website seems to believe that Mazda already has the expertise it needs to be a leader in the industry. So, will Mazda ever make a hydrogen-powered vehicle? For American buyers, that is unclear at this point; but the manufacturer did briefly tow with this technology in its native Japan. When will the new Mazda3 go on sale?

Since we brought you the news of the official announcement of a new version of the Mazda3 hatchback and sedan, Gorman McCracken Mazda product experts have been busy answering messages from potential buyers. Most of them are asking when the new Mazda3 will go on sale. At this point, we don’t have a clear idea. It is equally likely that it could be put into production in time to available toward the end of the 2019 model year or be held to be one of the first vehicles to be built under the 2020 banner.
