When is the Mazda3 getting redesigned?

Mazda has really carved out a special spot in the automotive industry with its lineup of sleek sedans, hatchbacks and crossover SUVs. But times change and customer tastes change. As we were walking around the showroom today, it occurred to us that the Mazda3 has been rocking the same exterior style for quite some time. Someone actually wondered out loud, ‘When is the Mazda3 getting redesigned?’ A quick search of the internet answered our question — sort of. We were able to find this teaser photo of a potential Mazda3 refresh, but we don’t know much else about it. Our manufacturing partner is wisely being tight-lipped about the whole affair. This teaser video comes on the heels that it looks like Mazda is considering the prospect of maybe bringing back rotary engines. We aren’t saying these things are connected, just interesting. Coolest sedans/hatchbacks for under $20,000

The only thing that stays the same, is that things are always changing. Records and cassettes gave way to MP3s. VHS and DVDs have largely been replaced with streaming services. Kelley Blue Book has been producing a list of the coolest sedans/hatchbacks for under $20,000 since 2003. In the intervening 15 years, the Mazda3 has topped the list several times and 2018 marks the vehicle’s fifth consecutive year being in the top spot. Let’s take a look at why the Mazda3 continues to be such a strong performer. (more…)
