What’s new for the 2019 Mazda CX-5?

The MAZDA CONNECT™ infotainment system equipped in most of the trim grades in the 2019 Mazda CX-5 will arrive with Apple CarPlay ™ and Android Auto™ capability. This will help drivers and passengers alike get even more out of the available technology in the vehicle. Most of each suites’ most popular applications will be able to be used while out on the road. Everything will be controlled with a 7-inch color touchscreen. Additionally, the top-of-the-line Signature trim of the 2019 Mazda CX-5 uses front and rear parking sensors to feed the 360-degree View Monitor, which will help make parking in tight spots easier.

New engine capability

Mazda still hasn’t released official performance specs or fuel economy estimates from the Environmental Protection Agency. However, we do know that the 2019 Mazda CX-5 will have output figures inline with what we’ve seen the current turbocharged versions of the 2018 Mazda6 sedan produce. Turbocharging technology allows for a boost in performance, but the automaker has also managed to avoid negatively affecting fuel efficiency. The automaker is employing a continuously variable transmission to further make the 2019 Mazda CX-5 use as little fuel as possible.

We don’t have a concrete timeline for when the 2019 Mazda CX-5 will arrive to our showroom.
