This is a great compact suv! This is my third Mazda and it has great driving Dynamics and I'm sure as reliable as the other two with No Problems! Plenty of power. It feels alot more expensive than what I paid! - 5.0
Car and Driver Magazine Wasn't Kidding

After noticing its reviews for several years, I was in the market for a CX-5. It wasn't until I was ready to buy that I noticed the CX-30. I read Car and Driver's 9.5/10 review, went to drive one, and I was impressed. Purchased a Preferred model right then and there. Haven't had this much fun driving a car in many years. - 5.0
CX-30: the Mazda compact SUV that's "just right!"

Having come to the end of the lease on my Mazda CX-9, I knew that it would be another Mazda for me- I just didn't need a vehicle as large as the 9 again. The CX-5 was a possibility and the CX-3 less so being REALLY small. Just in time, the new CX-30 was introduced and I was immediately taken by the top shelf appointments this vehicle has. First off, this car is a definite "looker" utilizing the "Kodo" styling theme of other Mazdas and ramping it up a notch. This car does not have a bad side or angle! LED headlights compliment the trademark "smiling" grille. LED taillights in the rear and a very nice lift-gate with low liftover height make packing things a cinch. The interior appointments of my Select trim CX-30 make friends wonder why they would pay more for a "luxury brand" like BMW or Lexus; all of the surfaces are covered in soft leather or good plastic and the knobs are big and tactile. The infotainment system took a few minutes to understand but is logical. Apparently, Mazda realizes that touch screens take the drivers eyes off the road as opposed to their system of a "commander" knob and buttons (not terribly different from BMW's system). The 8 inch screen is at a good level and does not distract. The leatherette seats in this car are top shelf! Supportive and extremely comfortable. Rear seat passengers may be a bit cramped but they have their own A/C vents and pull down console with additional cup holders. I've left the best for last: performance and handling. With 186 hp and 186 lb-ft of torque, the CX-30 is a blast to drive, particularly in "Sport" mode which gives more revs at low speeds. No problem merging or passing. Visibility, by the way is excellent. This car has an actual 6 speed transmission, not a CUV like many of it's competitors. Handling is direct and quick with far less oversteer than I experienced with the CX-9. In all, fun and not at all tiresome. In their 4 SUV line up, I think that Mazda has hit a homer with the CX-30.
